Damage Numbers release history

Version notes for Damage Numbers. Each release lists what was added, changed and fixed.

1.6.0

The current build. Earlier versions were never distributed, so this is the baseline rather than a step up from a public release.

8 changes

Added

  • Floating numbers for damage you deal and, when the server enables it, damage you take, sent only to the players involved and optionally their tribe.
  • Each number shows the damage the hit actually did, after armour and resistances. Hits that did nothing show nothing.
  • Numbers appear where the hit landed for guns, melee and creature attacks, and spread apart so a burst of hits stays readable. Settings: UseImpactPoint (default true), ImpactSpreadRadius (default 40), NumberSpreadRadius (default 220).
  • Per-player detail levels with /dmg 0, 1 or 2, saved between sessions. Setting: DefaultEnabled (default true).
  • Optional structure numbers for attackers and, separately, for the tribe whose base is being hit, including by wild creatures. Settings: ShowStructureDamage, IncomingDamage.IncludeStructures (both default false).
  • Explosive charges that detonate together are summed into one number.
  • An optional colour renderer with separate colours for dealt damage, incoming damage and hits on a raised shield, plus sizing by distance. Setting: DistanceScaling.Enabled (default false).
  • Every reply to the player command is configurable, and the command itself can be renamed.
