Installation

Installing the plugin and confirming it is active.

CharacterSizeEnforcement is an AsaApi plugin and runs entirely on the server. Players install nothing. On a cluster, install it on every map so a survivor can't be made thin on a map without it.

Steps

  1. Stop the server.
  2. Place the plugin folder in the AsaApi plugins directory:

  1. Adjust the minimums if you want to — see Configuration.
  2. Start the server.
  3. Run CharacterSize.Status to confirm the plugin is active and see the minimums in force.

If it reports inactive

The plugin checks the game build at startup and stays inactive if something it relies on has changed, for example after an ARK update. CharacterSize.Status gives the reason. Survivors are not touched while it is inactive.

Updating

Stop the server, replace the plugin file, start it again. Configuration changes on their own do not need a restart — use CharacterSize.Reload.
