Overview

How TribeScore scores a cluster and posts its leaderboard.

TribeScore is a cluster-wide PvP scoreboard. Tribes gain points for killing enemy players and tames and for destroying enemy structures, and lose points when the same happens to them. A ranked leaderboard is posted to Discord on an interval you choose.

How scoring works

  • Gains — destroying an enemy structure, or killing an enemy player or tame.
  • Losses — the same events, counted against the tribe they happened to.
  • Collapse attribution — when a load-bearing structure is destroyed and everything attached falls with it, the collapsed structures are credited to the raider rather than going uncounted.

Gains and losses are counted separately, so a tribe can lose points to an attacker who has no tribe to credit. That is intended.

Cluster behaviour

Scores are shared across every map, so a raid counts the same wherever it happens. You can leave leaderboard posting enabled on all of them — only one board is posted per interval, not one per server.

One map posting and the others silent is correct

In the logs you will see one map post each interval and the rest post nothing. That is intended, not a fault.

Point popups

When a tribe scores, a floating point value appears over what was destroyed. With tribe sharing enabled it goes to every online member of the scoring tribe, not only the player who landed the final hit. Kills with no individual attacker, such as an unmanned turret, still notify the tribe.

Enemies never receive another tribe's popups.

Leaderboard styles

  • Fields — three inline Discord embed columns. The default.
  • Table — a fixed monospace table.
  • Ansi — the monospace table with colour, using Discord's ansi code block.

Choosing a style for mobile users

On narrow phone screens the three Fields columns get tight, and a tribe name long enough to wrap can push its row out of alignment with the others. Table and Ansi scroll sideways instead of wrapping. There is no layout that is perfect everywhere — pick the trade-off that suits your community.
