Overview
What HelicoprionBalance controls, and what it deliberately does not.
The Helicoprion's Blueprint Processor converts a quality item placed in its inventory into a blueprint of that item. Its Crafting Skill stat is the success chance, the game caps that at 90%, and a failed roll destroys the item. There is no official server setting to disable or tune any of it.
HelicoprionBalance gives you that control: cap the effective chance, or block the mechanic entirely.
Capping the chance
Set MaxSuccessChancePercent and a freshly tamed Helicoprion keeps its natural chance, with levelling raising it only as far as your cap. A creature that would otherwise reach 60%, under a 30% cap, really does succeed 30% of the time — including one already levelled or mutated past the cap before you set it.
At or below your cap, behaviour is exactly vanilla.
Two things the cap does not do
It cannot raise a chance. A creature below the cap is not lifted to it.
It does not change the stat display. The creature still shows its raw Crafting Skill value in game; the cap governs outcomes, not the interface.
Disabling it entirely
With DisableConversion enabled, conversions are blocked outright. The item stays a normal item in the creature's inventory — nothing is converted and nothing is lost.
Level-ups at the cap
Once a matching creature is at or over your cap, further crafting-skill level-ups are refused. The point stays unspent rather than buying nothing, and the player is told why.
