In ARK: Survival Evolved, Tek creatures turned up in the wild on every map. TekDinoIntegration brings that back to ASA. When a wild creature with a Tek variant spawns, it has a chance to spawn as the Tek version instead: 5% by default, the ASE value.

What to expect

  • Tek creatures appear where their species already lives, and population sizes don't change.
  • Only natural wild spawns can become Tek. Tamed, bred, cryopodded, summoned and transferred creatures never change.
  • Only new spawns can become Tek. Creatures already on the map are left alone, so Tek creatures appear as the wild population turns over, or all at once after cheat DestroyWildDinos.
  • Creature replacements in your Game.ini still apply. If you have replaced the Tek Rex with nothing, a Tek roll gives a normal Rex.
  • Spawn zones that the game keeps free of random variants stay that way.
  • Levels are the game's own: Tek creatures spawn up to 20% higher, as in ASE.

Maps that already have Tek creatures

On Extinction, Astraeos and Genesis the plugin stays idle, because those maps already spawn Tek creatures. You can switch it on there anyway.

Commands

console
TekDinoIntegration.Status map, whether it is running, Tek spawns per species
TekDinoIntegration.Reload re-read the configuration
TekDinoIntegration.Version version, and whether startup succeeded

All three work from the server console and over RCON.
